Bison football kicked off their annual spring game with a celebration of success. Former players and a ring ceremony topped the show before fans got a chance to see first hand what the future looks like.
Carson Wentz, the future of Bison football. New starting quarterback went 11-for-20 and passed for 165 yards.
Offense was rounded out with a balanced attack. Darius Anderson led the running backs with 89 yards, followed by Moorhead's Chase Morlock with nine carries for 54.
Eleven different receivers caught action today; of note, tight end Jeff Illies caught a pass from Wentz for a 59-yard touchdown to cap the game.
Chris Board highlighted the defensive attack with a 24-yard interception return and linebackers Pierre Gee-Tucker and Kurt Mattox led all tacklers with six stops a piece.
Today's scrimmage marked the end of spring camp and leaves the Bison hope full on their future.
