Moorhead officers say this may be the first time a Moorhead student has won the statewide poster contest for D.A.R.E.

For winning the contest, Natania Arpero, who's a 5th grader from S.G. Reinertsen Elementary School will get to throw out the first pitch at the Minnesota Twins game Sunday. Rachel Muehler of Moorhead also received prizes for winning 15th place overall.

This year's theme was "D.A.R.E. to express yourself." The contest was open for 5th or 6th grade students.

Minnesota D.A.R.E., Inc. received hundreds of entries from around Minnesota. The top entries will receive special DARE prizes and the posters will be framed and put on display at D.A.R.E. events throughout the state.
