McCartney Tickets Expected to Sell Out

Posted: Updated:

Sir Paul McCartney is scheduled to bring down the house at the Fargodome, July 12, to what's expected to be a sold-out crowd. Tickets don't go on sale until Monday at the dome's office, but fans are already preparing for the scramble.

"As soon as I saw it on Facebook, I was not supposed to be on the phone," Tailer Schlichting explained of the her Monday morning work hour when she discovered the McCartney announcement. "I turned my mute on in the middle of a call and I screamed."

Perhaps the most joyful Monday morning on record, those echoes could be heard around the valley. But, skyrocketing anticipation is sure to make this a once in a lifetime opportunity as the odds of finding an affordable ticket are diminishing with every passing minute.
"I'm going to check every web site to get the seats and see how good of a seat I can afford," Tailer said.

For fans who don't want to wait for Monday morning, some web sites are selling tickets today at a much higher price. The best seats in the house are going for $1340 on Vividseats.com as of Monday evening. The Fargodome has said those seats will be about $250 through their office. The dome is selling the cheapest seats for about $25.

Members of the Paul McCartney Fan Club will have early access to ticket sales Wednesday. American Express is opening a presale Thursday, but that's exclusively for AmEx card holders.

For most fans, like Tailer, what stands between them and a dream come true just may be a little luck and a fast internet connection.

"I might have to bring my binoculars, but it’s worth it to go and see him," Tailer said.

The FARGODOME just announced moments ago that Paul McCartney will be playing at the FARGODOME on Saturday, July 12.  General Manager Rob Sobolik says they have been working with promoters to get McCartney for several years, this will be the first time McCartney has played in Fargo.
