Two Students Hit in WF High School Parking Lot

Posted: Updated:

Two students were hit in a parking lot on their way to school Tuesday morning. West Fargo Police say it happened just before 7:30 a.m. on the south side of West Fargo High School.

Police say a female student was on an access road pulling into the parking lot when two other students were hit while crossing that road. Officers say the driver's windshield had frost on it and she was driving into the sun, so her view was likely obstructed when the students were hit.

One student was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The officer tells Valley News Live he injured his wrist, leg, had a cut near his eye and may have hit his head. The second student was bumped by the vehicle but refused medical treatment.

The driver was cited with obstructed view for not fully cleaning the frost off of her windshield.
