A sign of spring, and freedom for many who feel like they've been locked up all winter. You can finally play all 18 holes on Monday. Village Green golf course and The Meadows golf course both open at noon.
Golf course crews have been busy getting the driving range ready, but despite the work, the ground is still going to be wet. And if you hit a ball into the water, golfers say don't try to get it out. The ice is thin, and you might end up knees deep in water.
"The soil is still pretty wet, this is a different year, where we really haven't had a lot of warm days, and even warm evenings, there is a lot of moisture in the soil, so as it warms up during the day it is going to be wet, and mucky out there," says Corey Herlickson, Head Golf Professional.
Wear a pair of shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Cory says the course should start to dry up a little by Friday.
