Judging Begins For 130 Cats In West Fargo

Posted: Updated:

When's the last time you took your cat out on a date? Minn-Kota feline club says, it's not too often your cat comes out of the house with you. That's the whole reason this cat show is going on this weekend.

130 groomed, primed, and winning ribbons, it's kind of like a beauty show, but organizers say it's not skin deep. While the judges take a good look at the color of the fur, they also pay attention to the bone structure of the cat, and of course personality too.

"It's a way for you to just spend the day with your cat and do something fun cause you can't really take them for walks, because you would be dragging them down the side walk most of the time, this is a way that you can get that cats out and enjoy them, and talk to other people who enjoy cats," says Lisa Ferguson, part of the Minn-Kota Feline Club.

If you want to show off your feline, or get a closer look at some of these groomed cats, Sunday morning at 8:30 am the judging begins. Again it will be at the Red River Valley Fair Grounds in West Fargo.
