We have more information
for Minnesotans who have already filed taxes, but are waiting to hear back
about how the state's new tax cuts will affect this year's return.
Minnesota's Department of Revenue
says if you've already filed, they'll review your return.
And if you qualify for a
new deduction or credits, one of three things will happen:
- They will adjust your
return if possible, and send you a letter along with a refund explaining the
adjustment. You shouldn't expect
anything in your mailbox until after April 15th.
- They may also request more
information from you before they can process a new return.
- And if they can't adjust
your return, they'll notify you that you will need to file an amended return to
get the benefits of the tax law changes.
