The Ceremony Room, at Fargo's Military Entrance Processing Station now bears a new name, thanks to the bravery of one former North Dakota National Guard member.
In July of 2003, retired Command Sergeant Major Kevin Remington and his fellow soldiers were ambushed while conducting convoy operations in Iraq.
During the ambush, Remington helped save the life of one soldier and recovered the body of another.
Remington has also been awarded the Silver Star for the incident.
His military career spanned 24 years.
