A Sea Of People Gather To Show Support For Lexi Bolstad

Posted: Updated:

A whole community is rejoicing tonight over good news, Davies student, Lexi Bolstad is making steps in the right direction after suffering a brain injury last August.

Saturday evening hundreds showed up wearing purple for Lexi Jam, which is a fundraiser for the Bolstad family. The event included a silent auction, a bake sale, and a sea of high school players from all over the metro gathering to show their support.

"A lot," says Lexi, referring to how many people showed up. "Yeah this is overwhelming, isn't it?" says Jon. "Yeah, this is great!" says Lexi with a smile. "All these people that gave up their time from their families to come help our family, all the players that came out to and do this for Lexi, and all the people, like I said out there, this is still a community to us, and it's just wonderful," says Jon.

Jon says in the past month Lexi has made a lot of progress, and it looks like she can graduate high school next year.
