An IT firm is expanding, and adding 100 new jobs in the Fargo- Moorhead area.
Mumbai-based Tech Mahindra made the announcement at a news conference today.
The head of its North American operations says a number of factors made its Fargo location a prime spot to expand its workforce.
"We met with the mayor's office. We met with Fargo economic development corporation." Lakshmanan Chidambaram of Tech Mahindra said. "More important, we met with colleges in the area; North Dakota State University, Concordia and so on and so forth. And we were very excited with what we saw, in terms of supply base and a government that was very cooperative in helping us succeed in this market."
The company has been in Fargo since 2012, and already employs 170 people at its facility.
