Drivers in downtown Fargo could be getting some relief when it comes to parking in the downtown area.
The city parking commission voted this morning to approve the hiring of an architect to develop plans to add a new downtown parking ramp.
The commission would prefer to build a ramp that could be used as a multi- purpose structure, such as housing or retail at the ground level.
A timeline and budget has not been set yet.
The proposal now moves on to the city commission for further approval.
