Democrats from across North Dakota are packing the Fargo Civic Center this weekend to decide who in their leading ranks will challenge republicans in a number of races across North Dakota.
Friday's highlight endorsement was former State Senator Ryan Taylor of Towner for Agriculture Commissioner.
Taylor told the crowd he is ready to take the reins if elected, and he will hold those who do business in North Dakota accountable.
"To those who would stuff an empty building full of radioactive waste, to those who would spoil our water and make our clean water foul, to those who would sterilize our fertile soil on our farms, I will not ignore your crimes," Taylor told the crowd during his speech. "I will not make excuses for your actions. I will not forgive your fines and I will not reduce the debt you owe our grandchildren to clean it up when you are gone."
The convention wraps up tomorrow with the endorsement of a candidate for U.S. House.
Other Friday Endorsements:
Kiara Kraus-Parr-North Dakota Attorney General
Jason Astrup-North Dakota Tax Commissioner
Tyler Axness-North Dakota Public Service Commissioner
