Spring Into Cleaning & Organizing

Posted: Updated:

Spring cleaning may not be the way you envisioned spending spring, but it doesn't have to be a chore.

Organizational expert, Melissa Schmalenberger, known as "MS. Simplicity," gave some advice on how to have a successful and stress-free spring cleaning.

Highlights include:

  • Discarding paper recipes or instruction manuals, utilize online resources
  • Label your phone and electronic charging cords and discard old ones you're no longer using
  • Take travel toiletries you're not using and put them in your spare bathroom for guests

The biggest advice Schmalenberger can give is don't overwhelm yourself and wait to do all your cleaning at once, simply do small tasks over time.

"If you just take a few minutes every single day, soon your whole house will be organized," said Schmalenberger.

By "liking" the MS. Simplicity Facebook page, you'll have access to all of Schmalenberger's past and future organizational tips to keep you motivated.
