The North Dakota women's golf team completed its final round at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational at the Plantation on Crystal River golf course on Sunday, March 23.
NDSU finished 10th in the team standings with a three-round 938. The Bison shot 305 as a team in the third round, led behind Cassie Wurm's 1-over 73.
Jacksonville University wrapped up the team title by shooting a tournament-best 286 as a team in the third round and shot a total 887. Jessica Welch of Jacksonville took individual honors by shooting a 5-under 221. Lynn University placed second with a 296, while Seton Hall University followed with a 910.
Bison junior Sarah Storandt finished 9th in the individual standings by shooting a 7-over 223. She held a tie for the lead through the first two rounds after shooting rounds of 72 and 73.
Wurm finished second among Bison golfers in the invite with a 235. Alex Schmid shot a 238, Maggie Crippen 247, Abby Weller 248 and Hailey Boner a 257.
NDSU's Megan Swan competed individually and finished with a 240.
NDSU is scheduled to compete in the UMKC Kangaroo Invitational Monday, April 7, at the Shoal Creek golf club in Kansas City, Mo.
