Posted: Updated:

The North Dakota State University Archives is once again open to the public after taking a short break to move into a brand new location.

The new location includes a larger reading room, a temperature and humidity controlled storage area for archival materials, along with two new digital microfilm machines.

The archives are home to more than 3,000 manuscripts and university records as well as more than 700,000 photographs from campus, Fargo and the State of North Dakota.

The reading room features over 23,000 books and microfilm reels relating to North Dakota, including every NDSU yearbook dating back to 1907.

Anyone can visit the archives to just browse or conduct research. It's open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The archives are now housed in the West Building, at 3551 7th Ave. North in Fargo.
