Daniel and Crystal Lowery each face charges of conspiracy to manufacture meth, possession of meth and four counts of endangerment of a child.

A third man, Billy Joe Grimes was also arrested at the couple's home and charged with possession and conspiracy to manufacture meth.

The trio was arrested at 504 South Fifth Street at Daniel and Crystal Lowery's home  , where they were allegedly cooking meth.

Police also removed the Lowery's 4 children from the home and took them to the hospital.

Lt. Jim Remer, Grand Forks Police: "They were taken out to Altru to be checked out because there was some… what we think was active chemicals in the air from the meth making taking place."

And since the Lowery's home is within 1,000-feet of St. Mary's school, they could face a maximum sentence of life in prison if they're convicted.

Police say through an ongoing investigation, agents were able to track the Lowery's making purchases at local drug stores of cold medicine, which is used to cook meth.

Lt. Jim Remer: "There are ways law enforcement and pharmacies are tracking these things, because as is well know, Sudafed is one of the main chemicals in the drugs used to make meth."

Remer says these latest arrests are just part of an ongoing push by the Grand Forks Drug Task Force.

Lt. Jim Remer: "So, it's not a specific drug sweep that's taking place. It's ongoing investigations that are coming to fruition at about the same time."

The Drug Task Force also made several other arrests this past winter, including the alleged operator of a mobile meth lab.
