Mall Of America Breaks Ground On A $2 Billion Expansion

Posted: Updated:

For more than 20 years, the Mall of America has grown and it's hard to imagine what else could possibly be added.

But today, officials are breaking ground on a major expansion.

The $2 billion addition is going to include 50 more high-end retailers, and more dining options.

There will even be a tourist welcome center, office tower, and a new 14-story 342-room hotel.

The MOA already brings in more visitors than all of the state's other attractions combined.
