Posted: Updated:

The Fargo Public School District has announced Jennifer Schuldheisz as its selection for principal of the new Ed Clapp Elementary School.

Beginning with the 2014-15 school year, Schuldheisz will become principal at Kennedy Elementary School at the Eagles Center. These students will transition to Ed Clapp Elementary when it opens in the fall of 2015. Schuldheisz will begin the staff hiring process and preparations for opening the new elementary school in spring 2015.

Schuldheisz has spent her entire teaching career in Fargo, starting in 1995 when she joined the Lincoln Elementary staff as a special education teacher, and later as a fourth and fifth grade teacher. She also served for two years as a Title I reading teacher and student performance strategist for the District. In July 2011, Schuldheisz accepted her current position of principal at Lincoln Elementary School.

The new Ed Clapp Elementary is currently in the design phase with construction expected to start this spring. It will be located at 31st Avenue and 28th Street South, within the current Ed Clapp Park.
