MN Highway Patrol Investigating Deputy's Rollover Crash

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle rollover crash involving a Cass County Sheriff's Deputy squad car.

The crash happened around 6:00am when the squad car (2013 Ford Taurus) Cass County Deputy Luke Rasmuss was driving westbound on Roosevelt Road near Adelia Road in Beltrami County ran off the road and rolled over. Deputy Rasmuss was taken by ambulance to Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN and then by Life Flight to Sanford in Fargo.

Deputy Rasmuss was wearing his seat belt and air bags had been deployed during the crash and the squad car was severely damaged. The extent of Deputy Rasmuss's injuries are unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
