A development in Mapleton North Dakota is dealing with water flooding their streets residents called our Whistleblower Hotline. They say this issue has been going on for years, and they want the city to do something about it.
Neighbors all say they have expressed concerns to the city, but say the date to fix the drainage problem keeps getting pushed back.
Neil Anderson, lives in the development and he says it's been like this for years. "It's been 7 years, and every year it's been well in the spring we will do it, and in the spring, no in the fall, and for the residents that have lived here for 7 years it's very frustrating to go 7 years and still be dealing with water issues on your street," says Anderson.
The mayor of Mapleton, Eric Hillman was not available for an interview, but says he's heard the concerns residents have, and he adds, the city is working on plans.
The debate is getting even more heated over the new Edgewood Estates development proposal. Wednesday night neighbors had the opportunity to really speak their mind.
