Lake Park Mayor Enters Plea In Exploitation Case

The mayor of Lake Park, Minnesota has entered an Alford plea after being accused of financially exploiting his sister, who has Down syndrome.

Court documents say Aaron Wittnebel was more than $6,000 behind in payments to cover his sister's care at a group home.

He is the guardian and conservator of his sister's finances.

The documents went on to say that more than $5,000 in Social Security payments were also unaccounted for.

Wittnebel will be sentenced on April 23rd.
