Second Chance Career Fair at the FargoDome

Posted: Updated:

The Fargo-Moorhead Coalition for Homeless Persons is holding a Project Community Connect and 2nd Chance Career Fair at the FargoDome on Wednesday, March 12. The event brings together volunteers, service providers, and employers to connect people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to vital services and jobs.

The career fair runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Last year nearly 400 people visited the Career Fair and many got jobs. The intent is to help people with barriers to employment make connections with businesses and employers willing to give them a second chance. Among the services provided are free haircuts, a professional clothing closet, and a resource area for help with resumes, interview coaching and more.

Agencies will be available to connect persons experiencing or at risk of homelessness to essential resources, such as housing, food, and legal services. Employers will be available in the afternoon to accept application and provide interviews to those in attendance.
