The NDSU Bison men's basketball team is set to play in the Summit League Championship game Tuesday night. A win that would guarantee them a spot in the NCAA basketball tournament this March.

Many Bison fans are thrilled to be in Sioux Falls, like NDSU alumni Brandon Geffre, "No comparison to how excited we are to be here, this is the most fun for basketball we have in a year," said Geffre.

However, it's not just fans who are excited to be cheering on the Bison in the championship game. Parents of players are thrilled to see their athletes play. Like Doug Kading, father of #34 Chris Kading.

"Unbelievable, all the years in the gym and all the games and the AU tournaments and never even thinking he might make his high school team, let alone have a scholarship and a chance to do what he's doing, it's kind of neat," said Kading.

Even Kading's girlfriend, Ashley Daanen, was in the stands cheering on the team and echoing the thoughts of many Bison fans.

"They've worked so hard, so to see it pay off in this way and to go to the tournament would be an amazing opportunity," said Daanen.

The Bison play against Ft. Wayne in the championship game at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and if they win, it'll be their second appearance at the NCAA tournament in school history.

You can watch Tuesday nights game on ESPN 2.
