The MSUM Planetarium hosts a special program this weekend and next week until Thursday, March 13.   Laserfest 2014 will showcase 30 laser shows in seven days ranging from family oriented, education and classic rock shows.

Some of the colorful shows feature music from Pink Floyd, The Beatles, U2, Led Zeppelin and American Pride (show with American themed music). The show lasts about 45 minutes and is one of the first programs of it's type to be put on in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

"It's the most colorful beautiful vibrant colors chorgraphed to colorful music. We want people to come and have a good time," said planetarium director Dave Weinrich.

Weinrich says tickets are going fast but are not sold out yet to the eight different shows.  To purchase tickets you can go to the planetarium website (www.mnstate.edu/laser/) or click the hot button on Valley News Live homepage.

Admission to matinees is $5 and admission to evening show is $8.

The name of the eight shows are Summer Laser Jam, American Pride Laser Spectacular, Lasermania, Laser in Space, Laser Led Zeppelin, Laser U2, Laser Beatlers and Laser Pink Floyd.
