Corwin Toyota Donates Truck to Local Non-Profit

Posted: Updated:

It was an exciting day at Corwin Toyota and an even better day for a local non-profit. Rebuilding Together of Fargo-Moorhead was presented with a brand new 2014 Toyota Tundra.

The truck was made possible by the Toyota "100 Cars for Good Program" where the automaker is donating 100 cars to 100 non-profits over the next 50 days.

"Corwin Toyota Scion is proud to have a role in the 100 Cars for Good program and recognize Rebuilding Together FMA for its dedication to the Fargo Moorhead Area" said Bob Kietzer, General Sales Manager of Corwin Toyota Scion. "The 100 Cars for Good program allows us all to have a role in advancing charities' work, and we couldn't be happier to help Rebuilding Together FMA into this Toyota Tundra."

Rebuilding Together brings volunteers and communities together to improve the lives of homeowners in need. They help with various Handyman, Roof, Green Housing and Safe at Home Projects. Rebuilding Together says the new truck will greatly help them continue their mission and the work they do.

"We haul a lot of materials and tools to our work sites and usually we have to ask volunteers to do that so we're throwing shovels and wheel barrels and tools into back ends of vehicles this is gonna allow us to not have to abuse our volunteers vehicles," explains Russ Richards, Executive Director Rebuilding Together.

Rebuilding Together was selected out of thousands as one of the 100 winners through public voting on Facebook.  Runners-up each received a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.
