The Bison offensive line will look awfully different next season. Starting center Josh Colville will retire from football instead of returning for his junior year due to chronic knee pain.
The redshirt sophomore started in all 14 games in 2012 at left guard before moving to center last season where he started 12 of 13 games. The Deephaven, Minn. native has had four major surgeries on his knee and opted against a fifth, choosing instead to hang up the pads. The Bison will now have to replace three-fifths of their starting offensive line from a year ago.
Colville said he was incredibly grateful to the coaches for the opportunity to play for the Bison and that he was also thankful for the fans support and for making his time at NDSU a wonderful experience.
