A Grand Forks man is behind bars after police say he was making threats with a knife early Wednesday morning. Just after 6:30 a.m. a 911 call was made from a home in the 4800 block of 6th Avenue North about a man with a knife.

When officers arrived.. They arrested 26-year-old Jake Doornek. A brief investigation shows he may have threatened another man with a knife when he attempted to intervene in a domestic situation.

A knife was recovered at the scene, and Doornek was arrested and charged with two counts of terrorizing and interference with a 911 call. No one was hurt.
