Red River Valley Sportsmen's Show Opens

For the 49th year, the Red River Valley Sportsmen's show is opening Thursday, at 5:00 p.m.

This year's show features more than 200 exhibits and the latest in camping, fishing and everything outdoors.

Highlights of this year's show include:

  • The Great Bear Show, see black bears show off their skills as trainer, Bob Steele, educates you about their habitat and behavior.
  • "Fur Ever-Wild," welcomes the two adorable cougar cubs, "Scar" and "Kovu," along with a young raccoon, porcupines, foxes and more.
  • TV host Jason Mitchell, shares his tips and tricks on walleye rigging. While tournament winner Tommy Skarlis, talks walleye and crappies. Joined by Joe Henry, who covers fishing on Lake of the Woods.
  • Hunting pros Steve Carney and Todd Amenrud share their expert advice and knowledge.

Many resorts and lodges are also on hand at the show, allowing you to book and set up your vacation right on the show floor. Or you can get a look at a few different ones and compare which will be best for you.

The show opens Thursday, March 6th at 5:00 p.m. and runs through Sunday, March 9th. Show hours:

  • Thursday, March 6th: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, March 7th: Noon to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 8th: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 9th: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $7.50 for adults; $2.50 for children (aged six to 12) and five & under are free. The FARGODOME is located at 1800 University Drive North, in Fargo.
