People Flip For National Pancake Day

Posted: Updated:

National Pancake Day is back for another year of free pancakes all while helping support a great cause.

For the 9th year, IHOP restaurants have teamed up with the Children's Miracle Network in hopes of raising $3 million nationally, just today.

Over the past nine years the day has brought in more than $13 million and last year hit $2.9 million. Both North Dakota IHOP stores in Grand Forks and Fargo are participating once again and hope to set records of their own.

It's simple and easy to take part in National Pancake Day. All you have to do is stop by your favorite participating IHOP, sit down, and ask your server for the free short stack of pancakes.

All that's asked of you, besides enjoying delicious pancakes, is to make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network.

The Fargo IHOP says on a normal weekday they'll do about 100 sets of pancakes. However, on National Pancake Day that number jumps to 800 sets.

The Grand Forks IHOP is located at 3951 32nd Ave. South, and the Fargo IHOP is located at 1701 45th Street., National Pancake Day runs until 10:00 p.m.
