Inspiring Young Chefs to Cook & Eat Healthy

Posted: Updated:

American Heart Month may be coming to an end but that doesn't mean healthy eating and living has to.

The American Heart Association and Family Wellness Center are teaming up to inspire some young new chefs on how they can cook and eat, in fun, simple and healthy ways.

The Family Wellness Healthy Kids Cooking Program is designed to inspire kids ages 7 and up to make healthy food choices. They will be teaching them cooking skills like how to safely slice, chop, microwave, and more. All while preparing delicious and healthy recipes.

Kids can participate in the following healthy eating cooking classes:

Kids Cooking Class Series: 5 week program

  • Mondays, March 17th, 24th, 31st, April 7th, 14th at Oak Grove and Schlossman after school sites.
