New Plan Would Turn Cardinal Muench Into Housing Development

Posted: Updated:

A developer has filed a plan with the city of Fargo to turn the former Cardinal Muench Seminary property into a single family housing development.

The proposal, from Comstock Holding Company, LLC, would include 60 single family homes.

Opened in the 1960s Cardinal Muench Seminary is located just south of Edgewood Golf Course.

The Fargo Catholic Dioceses closed the seminary in 2011 saying there was not enough interest in the priesthood to keep it open.

The Fargo Planning Commission will be holding a hearing on the proposed housing development on Tuesday, April 1, at 5 p.m. at Fargo City Hall.

Information on the applications is available on the homepage of the City of Fargo website, www.cityoffargo.com. Comments on the proposed development can be sent to the Fargo Planning Department at 200 3rd St. N., Fargo or via email at planning@cityoffargo.com
