When the U.S. lost to Canada on Friday, it ended its chances of winning gold medals in Sochi.

However, its loss on Saturday eliminated all of its hopes to win a medal, as Finland secured bronze medals by handily beating the U.S. by a score of 5-0.

Teemu Selanne, the Olympics' all-time leading scorer who is retiring after the 2013-14 NHL season, led the way offensively for his team by scoring two goals.

Tuukka Rask, the Boston Bruins goalie who was to ill to start in goal for Finland when its gold-medal hopes were dashed by Sweden, returned to the crease to secure the shutout against the U.S.

Jonathan Quick was the United States' losing goalie.
