Tenant Injured in GF Apartment Fire

One person was taken to the hospital after Grand Forks firefighters extinguished a blaze in an apartment complex. The fire department says the fire broke out around 11:30 am Sunday at 2500 Knight Dr. in apartment #204. Crews battled smoke and flames for a short time, before completely putting it out. Battalion Chief Corbett says the damage estimate is set at $40,000. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. There's no word on the extent of the tenant's injuries.
