USA Men's Hockey Team Opens Olympics Against Slovakia (Spoiler)

The United States Men's Hockey team opened play in the 2014 Winter Olympics in impressive fashion.

The U.S. struck early and never looked back in a dominant 7-1 win over Slovakia in the Americans' first game in Sochi.

Ryan Kesler, John Carlson, Paul Stastny (x2), Phil Kessel, David Backes, Dustin Brown all scored for the USA.  USA goaltender Jonathan Quick had 22 saves on 23 shots.

Next up on the schedule a game against Russia on Saturday. With the winner likely to win the group.
