Giving Hearts Day Is Underway

Posted: Updated:

Started in 2008, Giving Hearts Day is an annual event that helps hundreds of Minnesota and North Dakota non-profits in just 24 hours.

Last year more than 16,000 donations brought in $3.7 million. Since the start of Giving Hearts Day more than $10 million has been raised.

This year the Dakota Medical Foundation, Impact Foundation and Alex Stern Family Foundation have teamed up to help 236 non-profits in 36 different communities.

The best part about Giving Hearts Day, is it's made easy for the donors. www.ImpactGiveBack.org is a one stop shop for people to not only donate but to learn more about the great work these non-profits do.

If the trend of Giving Hearts Day continues, this year will be another record breaking year. On the first Giving Hearts Day in 2008, they had raised $7,000 by 6:00 a.m., on Giving Hearts Day 2014 they had over $100,000 by 5:30 a.m.
