Healthier Me: Sanford Heart Scans Are Saving Lives

Posted: Updated:

Are you at risk for a heart attack? People are taking advantage of a new heart scan offered at Sanford Health -- hoping to find out if they are a ticking time bomb.

The appointment takes less than an hour and costs $50. It tells you if you are at risk of heart disease -- before it's too late.

Sanford Health says the new scan has proven very successful. More than 100 people have been screened and many people had the scan too.

Ed Anderson from Ulen, MN says he was too scared to talk to his doctor about some chest tightness he was experiencing. He says he was in denial. He had the heart scan and within days had a stent put in. He says the scan saved is life.
