Arrest Warrant Issued for Moorhead High School Student

Posted: Updated:

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Moorhead High School student who is accused of sexually assaulting other students inside the school.

According to court documents obtained from the Clay County Courthouse, eighteen-year-old Sulejman Sulejmani is facing twelve counts of soliciting minors for sex and criminal sexual conduct, which includes force or coercion and non-consensual sexual contact.

The complaint says Sulejmani stopped and held female victims against their will and inappropriately touched them and demanded sexual favors. One victim describes Sulejmani as being very persistent, holding her against the wall after she said "no" as she was trying to get away from him. She said he stopped when two other boys came walking down the hallway.

According to the officer's report, Sulejmani admitted to grabbing and touching the girls saying that he can't explain his behavior, but feels like he just loses control. The officer investigating the case also spoke with a friend of Sulejmani who claims Sulejmani has "anger issues" and will "go after them" (females) stating he has no respect for women and is "very inappropriate."

Moorhead Public Schools communication coordinator Pam Gibb confirms that Sulejmani is a student at Moorhead High School and has been since 2011. The school district tells Valley News Team's Hope Hanselman they do no have enough information on the case to comment any further.
