North Dakota nabs big 64-59 overtime win vs. Idaho State
Kelsey Knox scored five points in the overtime period alone to help host North Dakota run its winning streak to five straight with a 64-59 win over Idaho State Saturday night in Big Sky Conference play. ISU battled back from a 12-point halftime deficit to force overtime.
UND (16-6, 11-2 Big Sky) leads by two games in the conference race, pending Montana at Eastern Washington Saturday. Sophomore Mia Loyd led all scorers with 17 points while adding nine rebounds. Senior Madi Buck chipped in 13 points and nine boards while junior Emily Evers collected eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks for North Dakota.
ISU (9-12, 7-5) dropped just its second game in its last eight tries. The Bengals were led by 15 points and 11 rebounds by Lindsey Reed.
UND heads to Montana State next Thursday for an 8:00 p.m. tip.
