National Wear Red For Women Day

Posted: Updated:

Friday marks National Go Red For Women Day, a day to help raise support and awareness for women's cardiovascular disease.

Heart disease is the leading killer of women in the United States, affecting 45 million women and killing a woman every minute or about 1,100 a day.

By wearing red on Friday, February 7th, you'll also be raising awareness. You can wear red to any Macy's store until February 10th and get an extra 20% off your purchase.

You can also buy a $2 red pin at Macy's with all proceeds benefiting Go Red For Women.

Since Go Red For Women started in 2003, 330 less women die from heart disease every day and 627,000 lives have been saved overall.

For more ways to help and show your support you can visit GoRedForWomen.org or call 1-888-MY-HEART.
