MSUM Football Announces 2014 Recruiting Class

Posted: Updated:

Minnesota State University Moorhead head football coach Steve Laqua has announced the Dragons' 2014 recruiting class. A total of 26 student-athletes have signed national letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at MSUM starting this fall.

"The bar has definitely been raised in recruiting," Laqua said. "Not only in talent, but the character of this recruiting class is phenomenal. It's really exciting to see not only what they can do on the field, but off of it as well."

Defensive line and defensive back lead the way with six recruits each, while the wide receiver, offensive line and linebacker positions each have four.

"Offensively, we were able to build for the future and add a lot of athleticism at every position," Laqua said. "Defense was a priority for us and we've added a number of talented players who should be able to contribute right away."
