Posted: Updated:

The North Dakota State University wrestling team reached yet another all-time high in the national polls on Tuesday, Feb. 4, coming in at No. 20 in the USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Poll.

The Bison climbed one spot from their No. 21 ranking a week ago after a close dual at No. 15 Wisconsin on Feb. 2. The Badgers earned a 23-17 victory, but NDSU won matches in four weight classes.

NDSU (7-4) is No. 21 in the Intermat team rankings this week, which order teams based on projected NCAA Tournament finish.

NDSU's four dual losses this season are all to top-20 teams: No. 5 Northern Iowa, No. 9 Missouri, No. 15 Wisconsin and No. 17 Iowa State.

Senior 165-pounder Steven Monk (22-1) continues to lead NDSU in the individual rankings, coming in at No. 3 in both major polls. Sophomore 174-pounder Hayden Zillmer is ranked 13th by Intermat and 14th by Amateur Wrestling News. Junior 184-pounder Kurtis Julson is 19th in the AWN poll and 20th by Intermat.

The Bison will travel to Utah Valley on Feb. 7 and Northern Colorado on Feb. 9 for Western Wrestling Conference duals.
