Posted: Updated:

Police arrested Valeri Dida, 22, Monday morning after a lengthy standoff at a South Fargo apartment building. Dida was wanted for his involvement in holding up the South Fargo Mister Money shop at gunpoint on January 7.

The other suspect Fargo Police have been looking for in connection with that robbery, Nyantey Gaylah, was picked up on an unrelated warrant a few days ago.

An armed robbery suspect has surrendered peacefully to Fargo Police after the Red River Valley SWAT team had been called out to a south Fargo apartment building.

Fargo Police tell Valley News Live's John Trierweiler they arrested a man wanted on a felony armed robbery warrant.

The suspect is believed to have been involved in some of the recent holdups in the Fargo area.

Police and SWAT team members surrounded the building near the 1600 block of 21st Ave. South about 5:00 a.m. and evacuated people who live there.
