Man Leads Police on Chase, Hits Cop Cars

Posted: Updated:

A man is behind bars after he led police on a chase Wednesday evening and ended up damaging a couple cop cars.  Police received a call around 6:15 p.m. of a driver who was possibly intoxicated in the area of 7th Avenue and North University Drive.

Police found a vehicle matching the description they were given and approached it in a parking lot. Once the driver saw the police, he took off going the wrong way down University Drive.

The driver wouldn't stop for police and when they lost site of the vehicle they called off the pursuit.  The driver was spotted again by Oak Grove Park, so police once again tried to stop the vehicle. At that point, the driver and an officer collided twice.

As the pursuit continued, the cars collided again and the suspect's vehicle ended up in a snowbank near the Woodcrest neighborhood in north Fargo.

Roland Wesley Dorr was arrested and charged reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, DUI and fleeing in vehicle.
