Bagley, MN Home Lost in Fire

Fire crews are on the scene of rural Minnesota, house fire that sparked up again Thursday morning. The fire happened six miles southwest of Bagley, Minnesota.

A neighbor says the fire first started at 9:30 Wednesday night. Firefighters knocked the fire down by 1:30 a.m. and it restarted around 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

Janice Amiot was alone in the home when she smelled smoke and spotted the fire around a wood stove in the garage. Amiot was able to get out safely.

Neighbor Kevin Johnson spoke with Valley News Live about the fire. "She went to bed about nine o'clock, then she just woke up, felt like something was wrong. She started walking through the house and could smell smoke. She's stoked the wood fire about an hour before that."

 The home is a total loss. Johnson tells us the home had just been remodeled.
