Bison Prepare for a Rivalry Weekend

Posted: Updated:

Both the men's and women's basketball teams at NDSU have a big weekend ahead of them. As they prepare to take on rival and 24th-ranked South Dakota State.

The men play SDSU on the road, Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The women will be at home with a 2:00 p.m. tip off.

Currently the men have a record 14-5 and the women hold a 5-14 season record. However, both teams could still make the NCAA Tournament, as long as they win the Summit League Tournament at the end of the regular season.

North Dakota State has compiled a 408-80 record at home including a 104-41 mark inside the Bison Sports Arena over the past ten seasons good for a .717 winning percentage.

As the regular season nears an end, only ten home games remain at the Bison Sports Arena in North Fargo. Before it's remodeled into the brand new Sanford Athletic Complex and Scheels Center, construction is slated to begin in March of this year.

Doors open at noon on Saturday for the women's game at the Bison Sports Arena, tickets are still available for men's and women's home games by calling 701-231-NDSU. For less than $40 a family of four can enjoy a Bison Basketball game.

Saturday's women's game will also be broadcast live on MeTV throughout the state of North Dakota.
