UPDATE: Man Charged After Overnight Chase in Stolen Car

West Fargo Police arrested a man after they say he stole a car and led officers on a chase that reached 80 miles per hour at times.

It started Monday night around 11:30. Officers say they caught up to 25-year-old John Daye, who as driving a car stolen in Fargo, around 17th Street and 7th Avenue East in West Fargo.

Officers say Daye led them on a chase for a few minutes before losing control of the car and spinning out around the 1000 block of 45th Street North in Fargo. He jumped out of the car and ran, but police caught up to him and arrested him. 

No one was hurt, but John Daye was arrested and is facing several charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing police and reckless endangerment.
