ND Man Arrested on Firearm Charges Also Investigated in Spokane Murder

A Watford City man was arrested Saturday in Mandan on federal firearm charges. James Henrikson, 34, was the subject of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Internal Revenue Service, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the McKenzie County Sheriff's Office.

Henrikson is now behind bars for being a felon in possession of several illegal firearms. However, his charges may change in weeks to come. Detectives in Spokane, Washington have said Henrikson is the mastermind behind a murder.

Spokane businessman Doug Carlile was murdered in his home on December 15. The man police believe carried out the murder is in jail facing charges. However, detectives believe that man was hired by Henrikson to commit the act.

 Henrikson is also believed to be involved in the disappearance of Kristopher D. Clarke, on February 22, 2012 in Mandaree, North Dakota.
