Wednesday the U.S. House of Representatives passed the omnibus spending bill.

The bill will fund the Government through September 30t, 2014.

The 1.1 trillion dollar bill passed 356 to 67 and will prevent spending cuts set to take place as a result of last year's sequester.

Representative Kevin Cramer stated the bill includes important priorities for the Valley.

"The US Army Core of engineers is funded, the 433,000 dollars for the feasibility studies on the Red River Diversion Project and that continues to keep that project alive as we move forward," Cramer said.

The U.S. Senate is expected to take up the measure by the end of the week.
