Try Your Hand at the Youth Ice Fishing Derby

It's your chance to get out and try your hand at ice fishing, without driving to lakes country.

The Fargo Park District is holding their annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby, Saturday January, 11th at Woodhaven Pond in South Fargo.

The derby is geared at getting young people engaged in ice fishing and outdoor sports all while having some winter family fun.

Woodhaven Pond is home to perch, bluegill and northern pike. Trophies will even be awarded for the top catches, young anglers only have to bring their own rod and tackle. All holes will be pre-drilled, free bait, T-shirts, and hot coco will be provided.

Registration is free and begins at 12:30 p.m. the derby kicks off at 1:00 p.m. and runs to 2:30 p.m. Woodhaven Pond is located at 4802 Woodhaven Dr. South, in Fargo.
