Lindsey Vonn Gets New Friend with Bad Knee

Posted: Updated:

Olympic skier and Minnesota native Lindsey Vonn has a new friend who understands what it's like to have a bad leg.

Shortly, after announcing she would miss the winter Olympics this year because of her injured knee, Vonn showed up at an animal shelter in Florida to finalize the adoption of a dog.

She picked a brindle boxer mix that she and her boyfriend, Tiger Woods, saw the day before Christmas Eve.

When asked why she picked that dog, she said because the dog has a bad knee just like she does.

She later tweeted that the dog has a bum knee after being hit by a car.

The adoption clinic says the dog has already had one surgery for the injury.
